My Approach to Psychotherapy

I am committed to helping my clients achieve balance and well-being in their lives and use a holistic approach that goes beyond only focusing on the mind but also pays attention to the messages of the body, and soul. I also believe that it is important to consider both top–down and bottom–up approaches in psychotherapy to achieve successful long-term results. Top–down (brain to body) techniques involve working with the client’s higher-level processes of the brain, such as thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. Bottom–up (body to brain) therapies, on the other hand, involve working with the client’s body’s physical processes and physiological reactions.

 

I understand that every individual is unique. So, I take a client-centered approach to psychotherapy, which means that I guide my clients through a gentle process of self-exploration and work collaboratively with them to meet their specific needs.
